Circular Saw Jig

I made a jig for my circular saw based on information I found on Pinterest and YouTube. I found the Ryobi circular saw to be very economical. The jig I made will allow me to make straight precise cuts. This is good because I don't have a table saw.

I started with two pieces of scrap wood and a flat board that used to be part of a table.

Here is how I made my custom board used to house my Kreg Jig.

Chest of Drawers part II

Now that I have most of the pieces sanded I'm trying to determine a way to label them. Since I only have about an hour a day for this project it should make it easier to work on them.

Chest of Drawers

I've started working on a new project that I found on andrewharriswoodwork.com. I'm using solid oak wood and want to leave a rough finish look to it. Here are the frames for the side panels.

Wren Feeding Young at Birdhouse

Earlier this year my friend and I put up a birdhouse made from scrap oak. I purposefully drilled the hold 1 1/8", just the right size for a wren, but too small for a house sparrow. We patiently waited and sure enough, success! Here are some pictures of mom brining home food to the little ones.

Scrap Wood Birdhouse Nest Box

I made a birdhouse from scrap wood so that I can design a method for using Kreg pocket screws. I will make a more detailed blog in the future. But here's a preview:
